MEET THE ILLUMINATOR - CLAIRE KNOWLES
Claire Knowles is an experienced, knowledgeable Human Resource
Management professional. She approaches her work from a perspective of
a deep belief in the goodness of people.
Her openness, honesty and sense of fairness, combined with her instincts of what it takes to find the higher ground, has made her one of the most effective people in this work. In March 2000, she retired from the Du Pont Company where her professional career spanned 33 years and encompassed Human Resource Management and Labor Relations.
At Du Pont, Claire was responsible for personnel relations, labor, industrial relations, safety, health and environmental issues, medical, wellness and EAP programs, purchasing functions, overall site services and community relations. One of her key functions was to help staff and leadership develop clarity in their thinking around the myriad issues they faced in the constantly changing world. She has since transitioned to Independent Coach and Leadership Consultant. She is also a partner in R.N. Knowles & Associates, Inc. She currently assists individuals and organizations to collaboratively find clear paths of action to complete their work and personal goals, fully aligned with clear principles. She is a people person, a deep listener, and she uses the Living Systems approach to problem solve for personal and organizational change efforts.
Claire graduated from the State University of New York with a degree in Business Management and Economics.She majored in Human Resource Management and Labor Relations. In addition she is certified in Mediation, a course recognized by the NY State Unified Court System. She is also OSHA certified safety training professional. Claire serves on the board of Directors of The Center for Self-Organizing Leadership.
